Fun Times in California

We have been very busy this month of September, traveling every other weekend to fun places. We spent this last weekend in Calfornia visiting Jim's family. Jim had a wedding in Manhattan Beach, so Jim's parents flew Ian and I along for the ride.

We had such a great weekend visiting family and friends. My good friend Liesl and her husband Mike came to see Ian for the first time. Liesl and I enjoyed Loma Linda's dorms together in college and I knew Mike all the way back from Elementary school. Jim and his dad went golfing on Friday while Sylvia and I did a little shopping. Then, on Sunday we celebrated my 27th birthday with a BBQ at Jim & Sylvia's.

Ian is doing great! He is such an amazing little boy. He started crawling this past week (Which is a 9 to 11 month old skill!). He gets up on his hands and knees and does push ups half the day as an attempt to stand up on his little legs. He is also getting his first tooth! Poor little guy. He is teething and with his first tooth about to pop through the skin, he has been a little extra fussy.

Four generations!

Crested Butte

This weekend, we drove to Crested Butte, Colorado to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary! It was so beautiful and the weather was great. On Saturday, we took a 2 mile hike to Judd falls, which felt like quite the hike considering we were at 9,000 ft. We spent the rest of our weekend exploring the town of Crested Butte and checking out local restaurants.

Ian was such a trooper considering that he was fighting a cold. Poor little guy. He was so tired, so we didn't get to be as active as we typically are since he really needed some good naps.
If you ever want to visit a town with great mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing and snow skiing...check out Crested Butte. We loved it!

Happy Birthday Grandma Terry!

This last week we took a trip to Tahoe to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday! Todd's parents were awesome and let us use their beautiful Tahoe home where our family could celebrate for the week (Thank you Jim and Donna!). Ian met his cousin Brennan for the first time and Jim's parents drove up to see their grandson for the weekend. We had so much fun playing in the mountains! We went hiking, kayaking, swimming, running, and mountain biking! Here are a few photos from our trip.

Here is Brennan Tyler Reese! He is now three weeks old. Such a sweet little boy. What funt o have cousins so close in age!
