To Church We Go

This weekend has been a mommy and Ian bonding weekend. Jim has been away in Florida shooting a wedding. He is doing more destination weddings these days, which is great for developing an international presence. Check out Pacific Rim Magazine (found in most Borders and Barnes & Nobles in your area) this January cause Jim will have a featured wedding that he shot in Cabo, Mexico and a full page add featuring his new logo!

Ian and I have kept ourselves busy by hiking in Boulder with Michelle Hoffer and Karen Rott, running in the mornings with the Chariot jogger, taking trips to the park to play with kids, going to church, eating out with friends, and getting together with Heidi and Lief to watch the world series. Go Rockies! Ian just loves kids so much right now, that he enjoys going to sabbath school. Ian playing with Olivia. Olivia just loves taking care of Ian. When Ian was first born she renamed her baby doll, "Ian"... now renamed again to "Jack" her baby brother who is just three months younger than Ian.

Mr. Personality

Look at these smiles! Ian is SO much fun!! He has just opened up this past week with silly faces, lots of smiles and an agenda of his own. He wants down and likes being on the move. He is just soaking up everything he sees and hears. We have a busy little boy on our hands and it's just the beginning!

The photos below are from this evening. He is now eating puree foods really well so we had dinner, took a bath, had story time and play time with daddy and then he went off to bed. We always knew we would love this little guy to pieces, but oh my, this love is amazing.

Ian loves to see his face in the mirror. Daddy throws him up in the air in front of the mirror and he laughs and laughs at himself going up and down.

More Fun Times

Ian is crawling! He is such a busy little boy and moves around quite well now. We have started baby proofing our house since he has discovered computer cords, outlets and baskets. He is so curious about everything he sees and hears. He has started crying in sympathy when he hears another baby cry and he gets startled when he hears a loud noise that is unfamiliar. He is also babbling CVCV (e.g. gaga) and is now using varigated babbling (e.g. bagada). We can also get a pretty good belly laugh out of him when he is thrown in the air.

In the past week, we took him swimming for the first time at our local recreation center and have taken several visits to the park for fun times on the swing. Last night, we went to a CU volleyball game in Boulder and everytime the crowd would scream for their team, Ian would join right in with a good squeal for joy. I wish I would have caught it on video. I think he likes womens volleyball! :) Here are some photos from this week.

This last weekend, we had Jason Wells visiting us! Jason was awesome and took family photos of us on Saturday when we went up to Winterpark. He got some really great shots and it's nice to finally have Jim in some of the pictures! Here are some of our favorites.
