Ian has come to life! He loves his daddy to play the guitar for him and dances by jumping up and down while "banging" his head. It's pretty cute. Here is a video for you to see.
He has also started having "conversations" with us. This morning, I said "Ian here is some cereal, it's nummy nummy" and Ian shook his head no, pushed it away and said "ugh", which is what I say to him when he is eating sand or something he pulled out of the trash.
The best conversation so far was yesterday when I was changing his diaper. He pointed outside and said "bird" and I said, "yeah, I see the bird flying outside". Ian responds as the bird flies away and says "bye bye bird" and waves his hand. Then, I said, "ok, now it's time to go brush your teeth" and Ians says "ahh", which is what I ask him to do whenever I brush his teeth.
Ian has also become the problem solver. We have been keeping my hair ties on the cupboard handles since we really don't want to drill holes into the cupboards... so, Ian went around our room and found some random hair ties on the floor and put them on the door handles. Smart kid.
He has also learned how to open Jim's guitar case by undoing the latches. Recently, he has also learned that the color of his drink coordinates with the taste. I gave him some juice the other day and he got a funny look on his face and lifted his cup up to see what was inside. Smart kid. :)
