We have had a great time visiting with Jim & Sylvia this weekend (Jim's parents). Ian loves his grandparents! This weekend we took Ian to the Denver Zoo to see all his favorite animals (seal, lion and elephant). He is now saying lots of animal sounds such as moo (cow), meow (cat), whoo whoo (dog), quack (duck), rarr (lion), ar ar (seal) and brrr (elephant). It's pretty cute.
Grandma and Grandpa were a huge help...giving us lots of free time that we haven't had in a little while. It was a treat. It was also really touching to see Ian developing such a bond with his grandma and grandpa Christianson. It's also really comforting since they are watching Ian for us here in Colorado when we go to Italy this September for our anniversary (Yeah!!).
Here are some photos of our weekend.
Grandpa read Ian lots of books. Ian can sit for up to TWO hours reading book after book. He points to all the pictures he knows and names them. He will also identify familiar pictures in books on request. Recently, he has lost all interest in his toys and prefers books, balls, motorcycles and rocks.
Sylvia, Ian and I checking out the elephants.
Ian wanted to push the Chariot around the Zoo. He's busy busy.
Our family.
