Ian's First REAL Motorcycle

Daddy did it. He finally bought Ian his first motorcycle. My first question was... "Did you buy a helmet too?" Ian absolutely loves his new motorcycle. Right now he will only sit on it and climb on it saying "Go, go, go... broom". He is a little anxious about the sound of the motorcycle and says, "loud cycle".

Jim is certainly training him young and is looking forward to many years of riding with his boy. This motorcycle is just his size and in another year or so he will be able to ride it with training wheels with a speed control so he can't go too fast. Amazing.

Lolli Locks

Ian got his first "real" haircut today at Lolli Locks. It was pretty cute seeing him in the little car. He needed lots of coaxing (lolli pop, toy car, sunglasses to hold & mommy) to get through the haircut. He wasn't too fond of a strange girl spraying water on his head and holding a pair of scissors, although I don't blame him. I think the entire experience was more entertaining for mommy than for Ian. :) Checkout my handsome little boy!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We are home! We had a great time visiting family in California for 17 days! Ian had five different Christmas celebrations between home in Colorado, Northern California and Southern California. Finally, by the fourth or fifth celebration Ian has learned how to open a present all by himself! However, he still thinks they all contain either a car or a train.

One of his favorites this year is his first guitar. He loves it! He sits next to daddy and they play together. It's precious! He definitely has an ear for music. He can already listen to music on the radio and pick out a piano versus a guitar sound. He will also frequently ask for "more song" and is singing along with us now with some of his favorite tunes.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! We do miss all our family and friends far away and wish we could see you all more. Here are a few shots of Ian from the past two weeks.
