tori & jenda engagement shoot

last friday i had the opportunity to meet and photograph a very fun loving couple, Tori and Jenda.  Tori works in organ donation and absolutely loves to travel.  Jenda is a rugby playing architect.  what a great match.  they live in Boston, MA but will be getting married here in Boulder this summer.  we had a lot of fun running through downtown boulder and then up to chautauqua park for some great light.   they were so easy to work with.  they could be running, jumping and playing one second and then the next second they'd be turing on these great seriously sexy looks for the camera... i can't wait to shoot their wedding.  they will be having a wedding cake that will be upside down hanging from a tree, how cool is that?!  here's a few photos from the day.

here's a little secret about this photo below.  i created half of it.  this great door was in between a car and a trash can.  so i took them out and put in the cool blue wall that was there.  i love photoshop.

jenn & kyle engagement shoot

on monday i had the opportunity to meet up with jenn & kyle in boulder. they are in from boston for the week to try and nail down all of their wedding plans.  the lighting was tough as it was pretty close to noon but we ran around found some color and had a lot of fun.  kyle even put up with me telling him he had a "cute" smile!  oops!  i don't know what came over me.  i know guys are supposed to say that kind of thing to other guys.  we decided right then and there that we would go chop down some trees or some other manly pursuit.  thanks kyle for being such a good sport and putting up with me.  here are some of my favorites:

coreen & chris - fort collins, co

last friday i had the opportunity to photograph coreen and chris for their engagement session.  i drove up to fort collins with a little fear and trepidation (the forecast was for a high of 10 degrees).  fortunately for all of us it did warm up to a balmy 24 degrees.  this shoot was great fun!  we shot in their backyard, then back inside to warm up then outside at a nearby park, then over to the new belgium brewery where we had a tour and made some fun images, then back outside around old town fort collins using just street lights to make the final photos.  it was great getting to know coreen and chris who are such gracious and sincere people.

coreen and chris grew up five blocks from each other for most of their lives without ever knowing it.  they finally met when chris came home from college and somehow (don't ask me how) they ended in a car accident with each other.  so it was love at first crash.  now on any given day you will find them skiing in the backcountry or out playing with their two dogs.  i look forward to photographing this wedding...it's gonna be a blast.  check out some of the photos from the shoot.
